Overview

PackBrief is a privacy-first travel packing app. It helps you create packing lists, prepare for trips, and manage travel-related items while keeping your personal trip information under your control.

PackBrief does not operate a user account system, advertising network, analytics service, or developer-run backend that collects your personal app data.

Information PackBrief Does Not Collect

PackBrief does not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

• No PackBrief account, signup, or login is required.
• No developer-operated analytics, tracking, or advertising identifiers are collected.
• No contacts, precise device GPS location, or microphone data are collected by PackBrief.
• No trips, packing lists, notes, documents, or preferences are made accessible to the developer.

Information Stored on Your Device

Information you create in PackBrief, such as trips, packing lists, pre-trip tasks, expenses, receipts, documents, saved places, shopping items, gear, notes, and app preferences, is stored locally on your device. PackBrief uses shared local app storage so its widgets and extensions can access relevant data.

PackBrief does not currently sync this content through CloudKit or a developer-operated server. Scanned travel-document PDFs are stored with iOS complete file protection.

Camera and On-Device Processing

If you choose to scan a receipt or travel document, PackBrief uses the camera for that action. Receipt text recognition and trip-assistant processing run on device. Scanned documents remain in PackBrief's protected local storage unless you choose to export or share them.

Weather, Destination Guide, and Exchange Rates

PackBrief sends destination coordinates or related destination information to Apple WeatherKit when it requests a forecast. The Destination Guide uses Apple MapKit search for sights, restaurants, and other points of interest near the destination you entered. These features use the trip destination, not your device's precise GPS location.

When exchange rates are refreshed, PackBrief downloads public reference-rate data from the European Central Bank. Those requests are governed by the respective service provider's terms and privacy practices.

Purchases

PackBrief Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple handles payment information, billing, subscription management, refunds, and purchase history under Apple's own policies.

PackBrief reads subscription entitlement status from StoreKit so the app can unlock Premium features. The app does not receive your full payment card details.

Sharing and Exports

PackBrief may let you export or share packing lists and trip materials as files such as PDF, CSV, or PackBrief documents. These exports are created only when you choose to create or share them.

After you export or share a file, your use of Messages, Mail, Files, AirDrop, cloud storage, or another destination is governed by the privacy practices of that service.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual trips and related app data from within PackBrief. You can also remove PackBrief and its local data through your device settings.

Deleting app data does not automatically cancel a subscription. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.

Children's Privacy

PackBrief is not directed to children, and PackBrief does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because PackBrief does not operate accounts, analytics, advertising, or a developer-run backend, it is not designed to collect personal information from any user.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when PackBrief's features, privacy practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last updated.
